Problemas en la Biblioteca

Man things are really screwed up in the library.

A couple of months ago, I think around June or July in 2012 somebody accused me of leaving newspaper clipping at my terminal and they shut off my account. That was at the Sunset Library.

I don't know if that was what I was accused of because they never formally told me. Nor do I know who accused me. I suspect it was one of the librarians.

But since then I have always been real careful not to leave any newspaper clippings at the library. Every time I leave the library I always check my area to make sure I didn't leave anything behind.

Then this Tuesday when I went to use the main library I found my account had again been shut off.

I figured it was because I was accused of leaving newspaper clippings at the Sunset Library on the previous Sunday.

They didn't tell me what was wrong but they reset my account so I could work at the library.

I used the main library on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Again I always checked my area when I left to make sure that I wasn't leaving any newspaper clippings behind.

Then today, this Saturday, Sept 22, 2012 when I went to the Sunset Library my account was again shut off.

This time the lady told me that I had been accused of talking on my cell phone real loud in the silent room and she told me that a MANAGE had noted that I am not allowed to use the silent room any more.

I have a couple of problems with that.

First I don't have a cell phone and it would be impossible for me to talk anywhere with a cell phone, because I don't have a cell phones.

Second I have not used the Sunset Library since last Sunday, so it would have been impossible for me to get in trouble at the Sunset Library.

I did use the main library on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Two questions.

First is somebody using my library card??????

I don't know.

Second is this a case of mistaken identity?

Am I being blamed for something somebody else is doing?????

They reset my library card so I used the library from 10am till 11:30am when I left for lunch.

WHen I left for lunch I asked a librarian to verify that I was leaving terminal #12 OK, so I wouldn't have my account shut off again.

That woman was "Anbolyn".

I logged off the computer in from of her, so we should both be on video.

I just came back from lunch.

Now I am using terminal #4, because some other guy is using terminal #12.

When I leave today I will ask another librarian to verify that I have left the terminal in OK condition.

Here is the time line:

  • Normally I only use the Sunset Library on weekends. I rarely go there on week days. Probably the last time I was at the Sunset Library on a week day was sometime before May of 2012.

I doubt that I have been to the Sunset Library once in the summer of 2012.

My point is that if I am accused of going to the Sunset Library on a weekday it never happened because I don't go there on weekdays.

The only days I use the Sunset Library are on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Saturday and Sunday, September 15 & 16, 2012 - On both days I probably went to the Sunset Library and used the computer.

Since they revoked my computer privileges for leaving some newspaper clipping I am always very careful when I go home or leave for lunch to make sure nothing has been left in my work area.

I did that each time on those days, like I always do.

I don't have a cell phone and never talk in the library.

  • Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - I tried to use my card at the main Chandler Library and could not. I asked them what the problem was and they said it was no big deal and fixed it. I then used it a little while.

The bad news was that they didn't tell me that I had been accused of using a cell phone in the quiet room and that I had been banned from the quiet room.

I thought I the library card had been disabled because I left newspaper clippings or some other trivial violation.

  • Wednesday, September 19, 2012 - I used my library card again at the main Chandler Library without any problems
  • Saturday, September 22, 2012 - I tried to use my library card at the Sunset Chandler Library branch and again it was disabled.

    I spoke to lady #1.

This time they told me that I had been kicked out of the library quiet room because I was talking on my cell phone, making lots of noise in the quiet room.

I don't remember the exact details because I am writing this on the Friday after the even occurred, but she told me that the head of the Sunset Library said all kinds of nasty things in the note she made on the computer and that the head lady said I should be banned forever from the quiet room.

I told them that was impossible because I don't have a cell phone.

Lady #1 said that I probably was the victim of a mistaken identity.

I suspect that she is right.

  • When I left for lunch I got lady #2 to verify that I was leaving my computer terminal in an OK manner so they wouldn't disable my computer account.

I also sent my self an email saying what happened to document it.

  • After lunch I came back and used the computer again. I was happy because the account had not been disabled in the short time that I was gone for lunch
  • When I left for the day, I asked lady #2 again to verify that I was leaving my workspace or computer terminal in an OK manner so I would not again have my computer account revoked or disabled.
  • She refused and said something like it was silly and I should not have to have a librarian check up on me every time I stop using the computer.
  • Just to cover my but I sent my self an email about what I was doing.
  • Sunday, September 23, 2012 - When I came in I again talked to lady #1. I showed her my camera to prove it wasn't a phone.

She made a comment about it being pink, like I it was a bad thing. Perhaps she though I stole it from a women, or perhaps thought that I was gay.

I told her I got it when it was being closed out and it was the last camera on in the store and since it was the only one left I didn't have a choice in the color.

  • She again told me that she thought that them disabling my computer account was a case of mistaken identity.
  • Because I thought that they used the video tapes that the spy cameras shoot of people using the library I thought they got my library card number by looking at the cameras and then seeing what terminal the person on the cell phone was using and then getting the card number of the person that was using the camera at that date and time and linked me to it that way.

Because of that I though somebody might have somehow gotten my card number and PIN and was using my card.

  • The lady told me now that was not the case.
    1. She told me that she knows who the person that was using the cell phone is and that she knows it isn't me.
    2. She told me that I look like the person that was using the cell phone and that is why they picked me out
    3. She told me that they know my name, and that they looked up my name on the computer and found my library card number and disabled it.
  • Now that is scary! Why do they know my name???? I suspect the cops or government told them that I am a bad person and that they should spy on me. That is real scary!!!

I need to find out who told them my name, and why they are spying on me.

  • While I was talking with lady #1 her boss came in. She told her boss that they thought my library card was incorrectly disabled because of a mistaken identity.

She told her boss that she know both me and the guy who was talking on the cell phone in the quiet room and that we were not the same person.

  • Just for reference her boss is a skinny old lady with greyish hair. Or at least that is what I remember.

I remember seeing her boss at the entrance to the library when I came in on Sunday at just after 1pm.

  • I should make a request for public records and get all the nasty evil data that has been entered on the computer about me.

I need to fix this so they don't use the data against me in the future.

I should ask for all the dates and times I am accused of using the terminals

I should ask them for copies of all the videos they shot of me using the computers.

I should ask for copies of all the data they have entered on the computer about me.

I should ask them for copies of all the log files that record what I do on the computers.

  • I should also make a public records request and find out why they know my name.

I suspect the police have told them that I am a bad, evil person and that they should spy on me.
