Homeless in Arizona

Stolen car???

I got up early and walked all the way back to town from the desert instead of taking the bus like I usually do.

As I was walking by a gas station a guy who was a passenger in a car that was leaving the gas station got out of the car and started to follow me.

Even though I am a homeless broke guy I figured that he might want to rob me. I don't have "homeless and broke" tattooed on my forehead so the guy may have thought I had money and wanted to rob me.

So I walked into the gas station to prevent the guy from robbing me.

I left, but the guy who had started to follow me was still outside. That made me even more suspicious that he wanted to rob me.

By that time the guy who was driving the car he was in had parked the car.

Since I wanted to leave I figured I would get the license plate number off of the car in case the guy robbed me.

So I went by the car to cop down the license plate, but the car didn't have a license plate.

That is what made me think the car was stolen.

I don't know where that guy who was driving the car went, but he was gone.

The guy who had started following me was now walking down the road in the direction that I wanted to go.

That made me nervous, because I still thought he might want to rob me.

But I wanted to leave so I left and I was following the guy and was maybe 300 yards behind him.

Not because I wanted to follow him, but because I was going in the same direction as he was and because I didn't want to give him the opportunity to rob me. I was also walking on the other side of the street to make it harder for him to rob me.

After walking about a mile I lost track of the guy.

And don't worry Mr. David Dorn I didn't snitch on the possible car theif.

If the car was stolen, which I don't know for sure, and if I reported it the pigs would probably have tried to blame me.

So I am certainly not going to report somebody for a real crime, when there is a possibility the cops will try to blame the crime on me.

Last but not least while I routinely criticize the government for arresting people for victimless crimes, such as drug war crimes, I do have a problem with criminals who commit real crimes.

And of course stealing a car from someone is a real crime.

Of course I am not going to risk being framed by the cops by reporting a stolen car, even if it is a real crime.
