Kyrsten Sinema on the powerful House Financial Services Committee

Kyrsten Sinema the government tyrant that proposed a 300 percent tax on medical marijuana

When it comes to taxing and spending I think Kyrsten Sinema has proven without a doubt that she can steal more money and spend it faster then any other politician in the state of Arizona. She loves spending other people money. Remember that 300 percent tax on medical marijuana Kyrsten Sinema tried to pass???

Putting Kyrsten Sinema on the Financial Services Committee is like putting an embezzler in charge of a businesses accounting department.

Sinema scores financial services committee

Arizona’s newest Congress member, Kyrsten Sinema, has won a coveted position on the powerful House Financial Services Committee, after winning a swing district for Democrats this fall.

It’s rare for a freshman to be appointed to the committee, which oversees economic policy, banking, housing, insurance and other financial matters.

The move follows the ouster of Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert from the committee. Schweikert, who was a freshman when he joined the committee two years ago, accused GOP leaders of kicking him off for not toeing the party line. Republicans had to give up a seat on the committee because of Democrats’ seat-gains in the election.

Sinema said she would work to create jobs for Arizonans faced with home foreclosures and economic challenges.

“It will be an honor to serve on the Financial Services Committee and a great responsibility to work to rebuild Arizona’s middle class,” she said in a statement. “Families who are struggling have found that the gridlocked Congress has stalled on any real solutions. I’m ready for this challenge and will work with anyone from any party to help move our economy forward.”

Sinema is likely to benefit from membership on the committee through robust campaign donations from the financial-services industry. The fundraising advantage could be crucial to Sinema in defending her 9th District seat, which is likely to attract a host of Republican challengers in 2014.

The district covers parts of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa and Chandler, where the majority of Arizona’s financial-services companies are located.
